Audiomania expert verdict
A compact 8-inch ported subwoofer with a 60 W amplifier — the most affordable way to add foundation to bookshelf or active speakers in a 10–20 m² room. A real pairing: with Radiotehnika S-20N in 12 m² at an 80 Hz crossover and about 70 % level. It needs a separate cable, and auto-on only kicks in at a noticeable volume. AI draft, under review

In brief
Best if you are looking for:
- small rooms of 10–20 m² where big speakers will not fit — owners are happy in 12 m² and “a small room” AI draft, under review
- a “trifonic” with Radiotehnika S-20N bookshelves or active S-10NA — real pairings from an owner and a specialist AI draft, under review
- dense, taut bass that fills even 25 m² AI draft, under review
- a PC or desktop system with active speakers that have a sub output AI draft, under review
- the best price-to-quality in its class — “5 plus for the money” AI draft, under review
Keep in mind:
- auto-on only triggers at high volume and very low frequencies — two owners; at quiet levels the sub may “fall asleep” AI draft, under review
- no cable in the box — you need a mono or Y subwoofer interconnect AI draft, under review
- do not connect to a fixed-level AUX/rec output — a sub-out or pre-out is needed AI draft, under review
- the manual and rear-panel photos were missing from the site; single-cable hookup is not described in the manual — Audiomania helps AI draft, under review

Audiomania expert opinion
The Alfa 1.05 is the entry subwoofer of the revived Radiotehnika: a thick MDF cabinet, a 20 cm polypropylene driver, a front slot port and a 60 W class D amplifier. Owners praise the “dense, taut bass” and the build, and one says it fills a 25 m² room. AI draft, under review[5]
The main caveats are practical: no cable in the box, the manual does not describe single-cable hookup, and auto-on waits for a solid signal level. For quiet evening listening keep the sub powered manually or raise the amplifier's sub-out level. AI draft, under review[4]
